What is the difference between satin and silk ties?

I've been wondering what the difference between each is. Other than one is man made, the fabric at least. What I'm wondering though is the texture do they both feel the same?

Silk is a natural protein fiber, some forms of which can be woven into textiles. The best-known type of silk is obtained from cocoons made by the larvae of the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori reared in captivity (sericulture).
